Do you want to make a contribution to the community? Volunteer! Participate as a volunteer for the City of Livermore or serve on a City of Livermore advisory body.
Many community members share their time and talents as City volunteers every year. Approximately 47,000 hours were contributed to various City departments by more than 2,200 individuals in fiscal year 2017-2018. Thank you!
Whether cleaning out creeks, improving arroyos, helping someone learn to read, providing departmental office support like document preparation, filing, and photocopying, or assisting with special events, volunteers make a big difference in our City and the quality of life. The chart below lists volunteer data by department.
Did you know that according to the Independent Sector website, the 2017 hourly "wage" for a California volunteer was $29.09? That means the "value" of City volunteers was $1.3 million! Thanks again.
